Privacy
The app collects nothing about you.
No account, no telemetry, no tracking. Two network calls exist and both are named below.
We do not collect your data
AmpleCapacity has no account, no sign-in and no telemetry. It does not send your file names, paths, folder sizes, scan results or anything else about your Mac to us or to anyone else.
The scan stays on your Mac
File names, paths, sizes, dates and scan summaries are read on your Mac and stay there. They are written only to your own disk, in the app's own storage, so it can show you a previous scan.
The app makes two network calls, and only two
One to check whether a newer version exists. One to validate a licence key when you enter it. It makes no other network call. Fonts are built into the app rather than fetched.
Licence keys
A licence key is checked on your Mac against a key built into the app. Activation works without an internet connection. We do not learn when or how often you use the app.
Buying
Payment is taken by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Your name, email address, billing country and payment details are given to them, not to us. We receive your email address so we can answer you if you write to us, and a record that a sale happened. We never see your card. Dodo's own privacy policy covers what they do with it: dodopayments.com/legal/privacy-policy.
This website
The site is served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from anyone else. Cloudflare keeps ordinary server logs, which include the IP address of visitors, for their own security purposes.
Email
If you write to hello@amplecapacity.com we keep that email so we can answer and refer back to it. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Your rights
Write to hello@amplecapacity.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Since the app collects nothing, in practice this is your emails to us and your purchase record.
