Terms of service

What you are buying, and what we promise.

Plain terms for a one-off purchase of a Mac app. Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.

  1. What you are buying

    A licence to use AmpleCapacity on a number of Macs you own: three for the Developer licence, five devices in one household for the Everyday licence. You are not buying the software itself, and the licence is not transferable or resellable.

  2. Who you are buying from

    AmpleCapacity is sold by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record and are the seller shown on your receipt. Their buyer terms apply to the sale itself: dodopayments.com/legal/buyer-terms.

  3. The free scan

    Scanning and inspecting are free and stay free. They only read your disk. A licence is needed to move anything to the vault.

  4. What the app does to your files

    AmpleCapacity moves files to a recovery vault on the same disk. It does not delete them at that moment. You can put them back for seven days, or thirty if a Guardian rule made the move. After that window the vault clears itself and the space is returned. Emptying the vault yourself is permanent.

  5. Your responsibility

    You decide what to move. The app explains what each item is and what happens if it goes, but you approve every move. Keep your own backups. We are not able to recover anything once the vault has cleared.

  6. What we do not promise

    The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will find every reclaimable file, that a figure is exact, or that it will suit a particular purpose. Sizes on disk are estimates: shared APFS blocks can make them read high.

  7. Limit of liability

    To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim connected with AmpleCapacity is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for lost data, lost work or lost profit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

  8. Fair use of a licence

    Do not share, publish or resell a licence key. If a key is found to be shared widely we may stop it working. We will contact you first.

  9. Changes

    We may change these terms for future purchases. The terms you agreed to when you bought continue to apply to that purchase.
